Research topics

• My main research theme is the management of internationalising companies, of which I study a number of complementary aspects: internationalisation strategy, international organisation, international work and the control of international activities. My empirical fieldwork has mainly been in Asia in general, and China in particular, with several quantitative surveys and numerous interviews with expatriates managing subsidiairies. More recently, I am supervising a PhD. thesis on the accelerated internationalisation of eco-innovative SMEs. I am supervising two other theses on crowdfunding and on the Chinese mobile phone companies.

Teaching and responsibilities

• I am the headof the Master 2 in Management and International Commerce, with two double degrees with Comenius University of Bartislava (Slovakia) and Partenope University of Naples (Italy).
• My teaching is based on my research activities. I teach courses in “International Management”, “International Strategic Management”, “International Human Resource Management”, “International Management Research”, “Internationalization” and “Organizational Behaviour” at Masters level, mostly in English.
