Dear colleagues,
Dear doctoral students,
The next IRGO cross-disciplinary research seminar will take place in room C107:
Thursday, 5 March 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
We are honoured to welcome Yohan BERNARD (MCF-HDR at the University of Franche-Comté), who will speak on the following topic:
‘Netnography: between nostalgia and resilience’
Proposed by Robert V. Kozinets in the mid-1990s to study emerging online communities from a cultural perspective, netnography has continued to evolve since then to adapt to advances in digital technologies. During this presentation, I will offer a historical overview of the development of this method and its appropriation by researchers in order to show how resilient it is. The fundamentals of netnography will be reviewed and illustrated by ongoing work on technostalgia for a machine that those under 40 cannot know: the Amstrad CPC. This example will highlight the role and essential commitment of the netnographer to their research, while outlining some avenues for resilience in the face of current and future systemic crises.
The seminar will be held in PERSON. To facilitate exchanges with the speaker present at the PUSG and preserve the laboratory’s dynamic atmosphere, we invite you to participate on site. However, if you are unable to be at the PUSG on that day, here is the Zoom link to use:

We thank you in advance for your attendance. It is important for the running of our laboratory.
Kind regards,
