Finance Team Research
Themes
The team conducts research in two areas:
- The financing of companies and organisations.
- The team is interested in the role of various financial institutions (banks, insurance companies, microfinance institutions, investment funds, stock markets, crowdfunding platforms, etc.) and different products and mechanisms (equities, lending, bond debt, securitisation, leverage buy-out, etc.) in funding the economy. It also explores ways to ensure the security and stability of the financing system. In particular, as part of the IRGO’s CSR axis, the team is interested in the environmental and sustainability aspects of financing tools (green finance, impact finance).
- Governance, a theme that takes shape in three main areas: the governance of family businesses and their specific characteristics; the impact of governance on the financial performance of firms; and finally, from a more stakeholder-oriented perspective of governance, the impact of the quality of governance on the value creation for stakeholders.
